Mark Newman, MD

Staff Physician

Dr. Newman has almost 40 years of experience in Occupational Medicine. He has served as the Medical Director for some of the largest Occupational Health Organizations in the country.

Dr Newman brings his vast experience and expertise in Occupational Medicine and the Workman’s Compensation system to Coastal Occupational Medical Group.

Joshua Hess, PA-C

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Joshua Hess is a native Southern Californian who attended University of California, Riverside for his undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies with major concentration in Biology and minor concentration in Theatre, where he received a Gluck fellowship. He knew early in life that he desired to be a medical provider and was able to partake in an Advanced Anatomy and human cadaver dissection course in high school. 

Mr. Hess later attended the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, Primary Care Physician Assistant Program where he earned a masters degree in physician assistant practice. He has provided medical support all across southern California since he first became an EMT during college and has continued to provide comfort, care and treatment as a physician assistant since 2008.
